Act like a lady, think like a man with no public service experience

What the world needs now: A thrice-married comedian and daytime talk show host who made racist jokes about Asians has been assigned to help the White House solve issues in America's poor neighborhoods.

Yes, folks, Broderick Stephen Harvey, aka Steve Harvey, the host of Family Feud, the man behind ill-fitting suits sold by JCPenney, the author of the highly questionable "advice" book Act Like A Lady, Think Like A Man, is, according to Reuters, "teaming up with Housing Secretary-designate Ben Carson on [an] inner city initiative."

It should be noted that Ben Carson initially declined the role of Housing Secretary, allegedly because he felt he didn’t have the experience to run a federal agency. (Since his training is as a neurosurgeon, it is safe to say he does not!)

As for Steve Harvey, well, he has experience being a TV star, a producer, a radio personality, an actor, an author, a singer, and a fashion entrepreneur, but has also never been a civil servant.

So. Just a few questions:

  • What, exactly, will Ben Carson and Steve Harvey initiate in American inner cities?
  • Does Donald Trump only know black people who have been on TV?
  • While it is true that Steve Harvey was homeless in the '80s, what does Steve Harvey, a man with an estimated net worth of $100 million, who lives in a mega-mansion with a million-dollar golf room, know about the current state of America's inner cities?
  • Why is this happening?

UPDATE: Steve Harvey has issued a statement about how he got involved with "helping"  the "situations" in the inner cities. It's a bit… vague.
