After his truly horrible run on Twitter over the past few weeks, the New York Times announced that it’s demoting editor Jonathan Weisman and stripping him of his oversight over congressional reporters. Weisman apologized to executive editor Dean Baquet, and said he “embarrassed the newspaper.”
