Bruce Coville’s Book of Ghosts had one of the sweetest supernatural stories that I’ve ever read, as an adult or a child. It was called “Not From Detroit” and it was about an old couple who were near death and how the man fought death to... well, you’ll just have to read it. It’s very touching. Read more

I loved this series, and was so saddened during the end of the last one. I felt very bad for the bully whose brain was “fried” but learned that the effects of enhanced intelligence were only temporary.
