Laura Ingraham Suddenly Sorry for Attacking David Hogg After Advertisers Flee Her Show

The survivors from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School have met the constant stream of attacks from right-wing figures and conspiracy peddlers in the weeks since 17 people were murdered at their school with incredible ownage—but my god, David Hogg is absolutely mopping the floor with these people, including Fox News host Laura Ingraham.

Ingraham, a real-life Wile E. Coyote, tweeted on Wednesday a link to a nasty post on The Daily Wire about Hogg being rejected from four colleges in California. She is but one of many, many adult conservatives circling their wagons around Hogg, a teenager who just survived a slaughtering at his high school.

The tweet was subjected to the Ratio it deserved, but as if that wasn’t humiliating enough, Hogg responded with severity and brevity. He tagged the top 12 advertisers of her Fox show, The Ingraham Angle, and called on his followers to ask them to revoke their ads from the show. It worked.

As of this post’s writing, Nutrish—Rachel Ray’s pet food company—TripAdvisor, Wayfair, Nestle, and Expedia (which wasn’t listed by Hogg, but did advertise on the show) have all announced they’ve pulled their support.

Ingraham and her show may have paid dearly for her attack on a high school student, but the unconvincing and groveling apology she tweeted on Thursday is truly priceless (and conveniently makes no mention of the advertisers fleeing her show):
