In case you were wondering about the personal life of Rudy Giuliani, a sleazy garden gnome tasked with legally protecting the personal life of Donald Trump, it just got a little more complicated. The former mayor, who has repeatedly attacked Stormy Daniels (and all women, really), has been caught up in an apparent cheating scandal of his own.
In April, Giuliani and his third wife Judith Nathan—whom, it should be noted, he started dating when he was still married to his second wife—announced they were divorcing, but earlier this week it was reported Giuliani had begun an affair with another married woman before he separated from Nathan. Page Six has all the salacious details (because of course they do), but here are some highlights.
Just days before Nathan filed for divorce, Giuliani was reportedly spotted with the woman he was having an affair with, an administrator for a hospital in New Hampshire. And by spotted, I mean he took part in a local news segment where he toured the small “rural” hospital to “learn about its cybersecurity program.”
After the tour, the two reportedly went to a fancy spa in Whitefield, New Hampshire, and dined at a private dining area:
After dinner, “the woman went back to his room with him,” a waitress told The Post.
“We were all surprised because he is really getting on in years, and she was quite a bit younger than him. We were all like, ‘Hmmm,’ ” the server added.
Another odd detail:
A male assistant for the former New York City mayor made sure that his boss was on the hotel’s “VIP list’’ and arranged for him to watch “The Godfather” and “Godfather II” in its private movie-screening room.
Anyway, Giuliani denied the affair, though he claimed he was separated at the time anyway, playing it very cool by talking about her job:
Giuliani acknowledged to The Post, “I do know Dr. Ryan. She is a friend of mine, so is her husband, Bob. She’s a Ph.D. and a very, very fine woman.
But when pressed about whether he had ever a sexual relationship with Ryan, he said, “I never spent the night with her. There’s no proof. There can’t be because we never did anything.”
His soon-to-be ex wife has a different opinion:
“My husband’s denial of the affair with the married Mrs. Ryan is as false as his claim that we were separated when he took up with her.”
Nathan filed a contested divorce proceeding and the two, who didn’t sign a prenup, are duking it out over $30 million. So this is just the beginning. If nothing else, it’s a reminder of Trump’s remarkable penchant for hiring very messy people whose own lives are falling apart due to their own indiscretions.
