“The feminist movements in Brazil are diverse. And there are lots of people who don’t even identify as feminists, even though they are fighting for gender equality and income equality.
“Sometimes the feminist movement gets too hung up on who can and can’t use the feminist label, but that’s not important to me. For me the work is what’s important and not what we call it. A lot of people don’t identify themselves as feminist, even though they are working for equality and their principles are the same."
