Pluto totally showed up to picture day with acne

Yesterday, we learned that NASA's New Horizons probe survived its Pluto fly-by, and we're just now seeing the first images sent back from the spacecraft's epic voyage.

And OMG you guys, Pluto totally broke out on picture day.

Just look at these pockmarks, which are more than 50 miles wide. How embarrassing.

And Charon, Pluto's largest moon, totally did not cover up its blemish.

In all actuality, the discovery of craggy terrain on both Pluto and Charon is great news, since it points to much more recent geological activity than scientists had previously known about, and opens up new avenues of exploration in geophysics. But man, rough day for dwarf planet skincare.
