More than two months after Hurricane Maria devastated Puerto Rico, Jorge Ramos sat down with San Juan’s mayor, Carmen Yulín Cruz, to talk to her about how the island is healing. Ramos asked her about the infamous moment when Donald Trump visited Puerto Rico and tossed rolls of paper towels into a crowd.

“I was angry,” Cruz said. “I was insulted. And I knew I couldn’t stay quiet.” She added that Trump’s decision to throw the towels was a clear example of racism.
