President Obama was in Flint, Mich., yesterday for the first time since declaring a federal emergency over the city's contaminated water.
Before his visit, 8-year-old Amariyanna "Mari" Copeny from Flint wrote him a letter telling him she was coming to Washington, D.C. and asked for a meeting with him or the first lady. Yesterday, she finally got that meeting, and she was not shy. "I wrote to you!" she said, her hands on her hips, after first jumping into the president's arms:

Obama also met with Michigan Governor Rick Snyder, Flint Mayor Karen Weaver, federal crisis responders, and other Flint residents. But this might be best thing that happened yesterday.
